Event description

Description

Join the USC Race and Equity Center as we honor three Latina scholars who have individually and collectively had a transformative impact on the field of higher education.

The honorees are Estela Mara Bensimon (University of Southern California), Sylvia Hurtado (UCLA), and Laura Rendón (University of Texas at San Antonio). Each of these women has served as president of the Association for the Study of Higher Education. More importantly, they have inspired generations of educators and researchers. Hundreds, perhaps thousands of colleges and universities across the nation have benefitted from their published works, campus visits, and expert consultations.

The program begins at 4pm on the University of Southern California campus (Galen Center, Founders Club), followed by a cocktail reception. For more information, contact Shaun R. Harper at sharper@usc.edu or (213) 740-0385.
