Join culinary instructor and food writer James P. DeWan and TribU’s Jenniffer Weigel for a cooking demonstration at Kendall College. DeWan will show how to prepare a full holiday meal while sharing tips from his new book, “Prep School," which is a collection of the weekly Chicago Tribune column of the same name.

James P. DeWan is a food writer and chef, and a culinary instructor at Kendall College. He has written the "Prep School" column for more than eight years for the Good Eating section of the Chicago Tribune. The best of those columns have been collected into a book, “Prep School: How to Improve Your Kitchen Skills and Cooking Techniques.” He also is co-author of "The Zwilling J.A. Henckels Complete Book of Knife Skills."
Jenniffer Weigel has been a broadcast journalist in Chicago since 1995. Starting in radio (WLUP, WLS-AM, WGN-AM) and then moving to television (WGN-TV, WBBM-TV, WMAQ-TV), she won an Emmy Award for her on-camera reporting at CBS and is now a columnist and reporter for the Chicago Tribune. She has written three books: “Stay Tuned”, “I’m Spiritual, Dammit!” and “This Isn’t the Life I Ordered.” She is a frequent contributor for WGN Television and WGN radio and her “Lessons for Life” column runs every Tuesday: chicagotribune.com/lifelessons.
