This class centers on a discussion of breaking news coverage with the staff of the Chicago Tribune's 24-hour breaking news desk and other newsroom staff, including reporter Stacy St. Clair and social media consultant Scott Kleinberg. Learn how stories are reported online and for the print newspaper, and the multimedia expectations placed on modern journalists. Reporters and editors will describe how they cover news scenes on the overnight shift and how they break news fast from remote locations.
