Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

There is nothing like being surrounded by a room full of amazing like minded women!

Stories are about collaboration and connection. They transcend generations, they engage us through emotions, and they connect us to others. Through stories we share passions, sadness, hardships and joys. We share meaning and purpose. Stories are the common ground that allows people to communicate, overcoming our defenses and our differences. Stories allow us to understand ourselves better and to find our commonality with others.

This is what TRIBE is all about!! It's the stories that bring us together!

Grab a friend and meet up with us at scenic Sprucewood Shores Winery for some networking, an amazing speaker, a fun activity and some appetizers.

Earlybird Tickets are 2 for 1 but only available until October 22nd!

Excited to see you on October 23rd!

** Sprucewood will be providing light apps (included in the ticket price). There will be wine available for purchase, please no outside food or beverages. Thank you :)

October Speaker Dianne Bondy Yoga

Meet Dianne Bondy – Trailblazer, activist, yoga teacher and contributing author of Yoga and Body Image: A New Anthology.

I am a Writer, Motivator, Risk Taker, Educator, Yoga Teacher, and Leading Voice in the Diversity in Yoga and Yoga of Inclusion Movement. I have been successfully providing public speaking and presentation services for over 25 years. I enjoy speaking in front of audiences of all shapes and sizes – from large industry expos to small corporate workshops. I have spoken at the Yoga Conference in San Diego, California and have been a keynote speaker for a number of telesummits, as well as webinars, and group Skype conferences.

With over 1000 hours of yoga training in diverse modalities such as yoga therapeutics, restorative yoga, meditation, and Anusara Yoga – I have a truly well rounded and holistic understanding of yoga and mindfulness practices and philosophies. I am passionate about creating a more diverse playing field in the yoga community and am a highly recognized voice in the Diversity in Yoga and Yoga of Inclusion movements – where all shapes, sizes, ethnicities, and cultural backgrounds are recognized and embraced both on and off the mat.

My unique academic background includes a degree in Social Science, in addition to my Experienced-Registered Yoga Teacher (E-RYT 500) certification at the 500 hour level through the Yoga Alliance. This socially conscious background is infused in my work and activism in the yoga industry, and has lead to my worldwide following of dedicated and socially conscious fans.

I am a regular columnist for Elephant Journal and Do You Yoga, and have been featured in Yoga Journal magazine. I also guest authored the books: Yoga and Body Image, and Yes Yoga Has Curves.

I am the founder and Managing Director of Yogasteya.com – a virtual online yoga studio that supports yoga for all shapes, sizes and abilities, aimed at empowering its students and community through the power of yoga. I developed and continue to teach the Abundant Bodied Yoga and Yoga For All teacher training programs at the 200 and 500-hour level, as well as teaching the Yoga Studies program at St. Clair College of Arts and Technology. I run a number of highly successful and well-attended retreats and workshops internationally and am a founding member of the Yoga & Body Image Coalition and an active member of Off the Mat, Into the World.
