Tribal Abundance™ Experience Workshop
Fri, May 12, 2017, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM MDT
Leaders are typically frustrated by the under-performance of their teams, and so they send them to trainings or even offer coaching.
The problem with this is that all such programs fail to address the real issue: there is a culture problem. Focusing on changing individuals won’t change that.
Culture change is challenging because culture is hard to pinpoint or even see. It is like an iceberg, with most of it below the surface of what is discussed or dealt with daily. But if culture is inefficient or otherwise off-course, all performance will be as well.
Here’s what no one really sees: The core cause of all organizational issues is the belief in, and fear of, scarcity—and the behavior that arises from that.
If this is not addressed and transformed, issues of all kinds will remain or return.
That’s why I have created Tribal Abundance™, a program that helps leaders develop a tribal culture of abundance instead of scarcity. It is based on the anthropological research conducted by Colin Turnbull who studied two very different tribes: their approaches to abundance and scarcity brought about very different outcomes.
Tribal Abundance™ is a state of being, or a culture, in which a group of people that have a shared interest or occupation have the common mindset that there is no shortage of resources (e.g., ideas, customers, profits) and that there is enough to go around. This allows them to be others-focused and seek to enrich the lives of people they interact with by collaborating, sharing, connecting, and co-creating (interacting as a tribe) rather than competing. And this cooperative approach maximizescreativity and innovation and reinforces the “no shortage” mindset.
In this interactive and engaging Tribal Abundance™ Experience workshop, you'll be introduced to the concept of Tribal Abundance™ and learn some of the principles you can apply to teams that you work with to MAXIMIZE performance.
During the workshop you will:
- Reflect on your own experience about behavior in the workplace
- Deconstruct the concept of Tribal Abundance™
- Design a Tribal Abundance™ culture
- Create a strategy to apply the concept of Tribal Abundance™ in the workplace
