Description

Clackamas, Multnomah and Washington Counties, in partnership with CareOregon, invite you to join us at the upcoming Tri-County Opioid Dental Collaborative. This collaborative is part of an ongoing initiative to engage healthcare professionals in understanding the current opioid problem, provide ongoing education around best practices for managing pain and to encourage adoption of model opioid prescribing guidelines in the tri-county region.

This learning collaborative will focus on dental providers, the unique challenges they face, and role they play in prescribing opioids. The event is open to anyone in the oral health field in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties.

2.5 ADA CERP continuing education credits will be available through OHSU School of Dentistry at no cost to participants.

Agenda Overview:

  • Introduction of Oregon Acute Prescribing Guidelines- Andrew Suchocki, Medical Director, Clackamas Health Centers
  • Dentists’ Roles in the Opioid Issue: Making an Upstream Difference- Bruce Austin, Dental Director, Oregon Health Authority
  • Marijuana, Opioids and the Effects on Oral Health- Barry Taylor, Assistant Professor in Restorative Dentistry, OHSU School of Dentistry OHSU
  • Clinical spotlight panel featuring local Dental Directors
