Atlas Network is proud to present Ms. Souad Adnane to discuss the fight for freedom throughout the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) and the challenges of policy change in the Arab world. She will discuss their work in the Arab Center for Scientific Research & Humane Studies to empower civil society actors in the Arab world; to influece the policy making process; and to promote free market principles through publications, seminars and debates.

Atlas Network Trendsetters started in New York City as part of Atlas Network’s mission to strengthen the worldwide freedom movement, bringing together like-minded individuals who range in age from 21-45 years old. Each month, Atlas Network Trendsetters holds events featuring experts from different regions around the world. Join us for our monthly open-bar gatherings around the city to network and learn about top trends in the global freedom movement.

Ms. Souad Adnane is currently a Fulbright scholar from Morocco, pursuing her MA in Public Policy with a concentration in Women’s Studies at George Washington University. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in International Cooperation & Human Development and then worked for 7 years in the development sector, for different international NGOs. She was responsible for fundraising, coordinating the implementation of different projects aiming at empowering vulnerable communities, giving trainings on fundraising and project cycle management (among other topics), and the last position she occupied was Regional Coordinator of a community development program for the MENA region (with SOS Children’s Villages), which allowed her to travel a lot within the region, acquire a better understanding of politics and policy making in each country (with regard to health, education, child protection, women’s empowerment and economic empowerment of vulnerable groups).

Souad is a founding member of the Arab Center for Scientific Research & Humane Studies, the first classical liberal think tank in the Arab world, based in Morocco and aiming at promoting values of liberty, democracy, toleration and free market in the region. She is also a board member of Istanbul Network for Liberty (-Infol- aiming at exploring the principles and values of a free society in the Muslim world).
