Let’s celebrate!
On Saturday, March 12, 2022, Girl Scouts turns 110, Girl Scouts of Central Maryland turns 60 and the Trefoil is back on the main stage.
This program will consist of two (2) parts. First, the “GooseChase”! For this digital scavenger hunt, you will need to create a team and select a team name. Your team should consist of no more than six (6) individuals – 2 adults and 4 girls, One (1) member of your team will serve as the Team Captain. This person must have a mobile device. Your team captain will be responsible for logging into the game, managing your clues and entering your submissions.
Once the game begins, you will have two (2) hours to complete as many missions as possible. There will be missions in Anne Arundel, Baltimore, Carroll, Harford and Howard Counties, as well as Baltimore City.
Mission activities will draw from all pillars:
Outdoor Skills (e.g. target sports, hikes, geocaching),
STEM Skills (e.g. upcycled car challenge, structure building, catapult challenge)
Entrepreneurial Skills (e.g. customer insights, budgeting)
Life Skills (e.g. cooking, democracy, community service)
Your team may choose to participate in your local area, or take this quest to the max and experience all that the quest has to offer by traveling through the council footprint to complete as many missions as you can.
However your team decides to participate, you will want to join us at 2:00PM for the after-quest party! During this fun-filled party, we will enjoy some games, make SWAPS, sing songs and of course, eat cake! After all, what’s a birthday party without cake? Before we finish for the day, we will announce the winners of our Trefoil Quest. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place teams.
This program will teach your girls, and maybe you, all about Girl Scouts - our history, our traditions and our pillars. Whether you and your teammates are solving riddles, completing puzzles, checking-in at a points of interest or creating video masterpieces, you are sure to have a great time!
Gather your team members and get ready to conquer the Trefoil Quest and see if your team take home the top prize! Participants will receive a commemorative Girl Scout Week fun patch.
