Event description

Description

What better way to celebrate trees in our community than by planting them! We will be wrapping up 2018 Tree Beer and Brewer's Grove festivities with a Tree Planting Class at Harmony Hall on October 23rd from 6-7:30pm. Make sure to also check our events page for more information on all of the tree plantings happening in the month of October!

Just because Brewer's Grove will be over doesn't mean you can't plant a tree in your yard! Join Friends of Grand Rapids Parks for our Tree Planting Class to learn the skills it takes to grow a tree as part of the Citizen Forester course series. Participants of this free workshop will learn the ins and outs of tree plantings including site selection, tree species, proper ways to take care of newly planted trees, and more. Anyone is welcome to attend so please bring a friend!

This class is part of a series of required classes to earn a ‘Citizen Forester’ designation. A $5 donation per class is encouraged. There is a 30 person cap for this class.
