Treatise: Why Write Alone?
Book Launch & Party
SAT, MAY 2, 5-8PM
Treatise: Why Write Alone? is a publication project by fourteen young design offices, organized by Jimenez Lai of Bureau Spectacular (Los Angeles). Born out of Lai's Graham Foundation grant to pursue discursive and non-conformist approaches to architecture, Treatise is a prompt for Lai and his peers prusuing conceptual architectures: Why write? And given that, what write alone?
The collective of offices allied for an exhibition at the Graham Foundation in Chicago earlier this year, showcasing an individual treatise by each office. Treatise's west coast launch party is co-hosted by Archinect, Neutra VDL House, and the Graham Foundation.
