Scott DeBoer

Scott DeBoer, RN, MSN, CPEN, CEN, CCRN, CFRN, is an internationally recognized pediatric emergency nurse expert.  Scott has been presenting to thousands of nurses around the world for over 20 years.  In addition to his extensive training in emergency, critical care, and flight nursing. Scott has written 8 books and co-authored over 100 medical articles for nurses, paramedics, and respiratory therapists .Often called the “Jim Carrey” of the emergency nursing world, Scott's use of humor and personal experiences will have attendees laughing as they learn. 


Credit Hours
Credits are available for: Nurses, Paramedics, EMTs, and Respiratory Therapists.
(Physicians are welcome to attend, but CMEs are not available)
Certificates will be distributed with contact hours at the end of the seminar.


Nursing - 6 credit hours for nurses - This continuing education activity was approved by the Emergency Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation (ANCC) for 6 hours.

EMS - 6 credit hours for paramedics - This CE activity is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE) for 6 paramedic CEH.

Respiratory Therapy - 6 credit hours for respiratory therapists - This CE offering has been approved by the American Association for Respiratory Care (AARC).

If this is free why do I have to pay $25 to hold a spot?

Your $25 ticket fee will be refunded the day of the seminar once you have signed in - However,  if you are not able to attend for any reason and DO NOT cancel at least 7 days before the seminar or are a NO SHOW you will forfeit the $25 and it will NOT be refunded.
** Your full $99 registration fee is being paid for in full by Kona Community Hospital Trauma Program. You will ONLY be charged $25 if you register and don't attend.  

Can anyone from anywhere come?

This class is open to all HHSC employees and outside attendees - TICKETS ARE FIRST COME!


What should I bring to the event?

Bring a light sweater or jacket as room temp. can fluctuate. Also, if possible a phone/email copy of printed ticket. This will make the check-in process go quickly. If you forget a copy.... Do Not Stress Out!  We will have you on the list. :)  


Will there be food?
