The Idaho Creative Authors Network (ICAN) is honored to present the Second Annual Treasure Valley Writer’s Fest and Writing Contest, a fall writing opportunity and writing contest for published and non-published authors. The event will be held Saturday, November 5 from 1:30 PM to 7:00 PM at The Cloverdale Community Center, 1200 N. Cloverdale Road, Boise, Idaho 83713.
This event will include a writing contest, awards dinner, and presentations on the following subjects critical to success in today’s writing market.

Pre-registration for the event is $89 if paid by October 15th and $99 if paid after October 15th up to and including the day of the event.The fee is non-refundable.The Writing Contest deadline is October 10. No extensions!
Paid registration includes the presentations, writing contest submission, and Awards Dinner. During the event, the sponsors will also feature their books for sale.

One entry only per person per category allowed. Multiple categories may be entered.
Word count/ Line count requirements:
- Name, Title and Category in header
- Times New Roman – 12 point or Courier 12 point
- .doc format
- Double spaced
- One inch margins
- Ragged right (no justified margins)
- Page numbers
- 1000-1200 maximum (entry may be incomplete)
- No profanity or graphic content will be accepted

You may enter more than one category - $20 fee for each additional entry. One entry per category.

Winners will receive an award, a certificate, and a formal critique.
Need not be present to win.
*All entries will be judged with a standardized evaluation form.
*Author retains full ownership of document submitted.
** Entrants may purchase up to two critiques of their submissions for an additional $20 per critique. Critiques will detail strengths and weaknesses plus recommendations.
