Traumatic Brain Injury Pathophysiological Effects and Management
TBI can be devastating, with death the worst case scenario. In patients who survive, TBI's can cause a wide range of problems. Some of these are relatively minor impairments that resolve on their or can be managed with adaptive cues and devices. In this course nurses will be able to describe the pathophysiology of traumatic brain injury. Discuss appropriate assessments of patients with TBI's and identify nursing interventions for these patients.
