Description

This workshop is sponsored by Dakota State University, Sanford Inspire and Sanford Harmony. The goal of the workshop is to provide professional development for K-12 educators in the area of building inclusive classroom communities, especially when working with children who have experienced trauma. The workshop will feature two guest speakers:

1) Special Agent Brent Gromer: Commander of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force

2) Erica Boomsma: 2019 SD Teacher of the Year

Additionally two free resources will be shared:

1) Sanford Harmony - A Free Social Emotional Learning Curriculum for K-5 Classrooms

2) Sanford Inspire - A Free Professional Development Resource for Teachers

Teachers who attend will be offered the opportunity to take the workshop for 1 graduate credit (Cost $40). Additional work will be required outside of the workshop for those taking it for graduate credit.
