A Two-Hour Specialty Training for Yoga Teachers & Caregivers Hosted by Edge Yoga School & Arts — RYS, Yoga Alliance

Join us for a focused two-hour workshop designed for adults who want to confidently teach yoga to children through a trauma-informed, compassion-centered lens. This session draws from our 95-Hour Trauma-Informed Yoga for Children curriculum and gives you practical tools you can use right away.

Whether you are a current YTT student, a certified teacher, or someone passionate about children’s wellness, you will leave with clear, grounded teaching skills.

✨ Workshop Focus

Techniques, Training & Practice — Age-Appropriate Movement + Breathwork

Explore how to guide children through simple yoga shapes and grounding breaths using invitational language, choice-based cues, and supportive structure.


✨ Agenda (2 Hours) for this workshop:

1. Foundations & Trauma-Informed Principles (30 min)

Learn how to create safe, predictable learning environments using age-appropriate development, compassionate cueing, and emotional regulation tools.

2. Demonstration + Movement & Breath Practice (45 min)

Experience a short child-friendly sequence incorporating simple shapes, grounding breaths, and accessible movement patterns.

3. Practice Creating a Class on Your Workbook Template in Sangha (45 min)

Create and teach a short segment with your peers. Receive warm, strength-based feedback and walk away with a confident draft for your own children’s yoga class. You will compare notes and verbally walk one another through your class plans to build clarity and confidence.
