Session 1 – Introduction to Trauma and Trauma-informed Practice.

This will cover an introduction to trauma and trauma-informed practice including ACE’s, attachment, the brain and working with trauma at practitioner level.

Session 2 – Embedding Trauma-informed Practice

Following on from session one, this will cover how to embed trauma-informed practice as a practitioner and as an organisation. This will include an organisational self-assessment, ways to embed knowledge into practice, trauma-informed culture within the workplace and how to avoid secondary traumatic stress/compassion fatigue.

Session 3 (optional) – Supervision for Trauma-informed Practice

These sessions will be held quarterly and offer an opportunity for participants to discuss challenges and best practices when implementing the training in the workplace and reflect on their practice.
