Trauma Informed Oregon Free Training
Trauma Informed Oregon (TIO) is excited to be able to provide this free foundational training. This training is for anyone who has not had a basic overview of trauma informed care.
A Free Training on:
- What trauma-informed care is (and is not)
- The impact of acute and complex trauma on accessing and engaging in services
- How service systems, unknowingly, may re-traumatize/activate survivors of complex trauma
- The principles of trauma-informed care and examples for implementing these into practice.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
We have a limited # of spots available and may have a waitlist, so tickets will not be transferrable.
Is there any cost for this training?
No. This event is free.
What are my transport/parking options once I get to the training?
There is free parking at Eola.

Yes, coffee, tea, water and morning pastries will be available at 7:30am.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
It is not necessary to have a printed ticket. We will have a list of all registered participants' names at the door when you check in.
The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?
Name tags will be created for all participants so please make sure the name on the registration is the one you would like on your name tag.

Who should attend?
Anyone who is interested in a basic overview of trauma informed care, and work or participate in systems that serve a population that has experienced trauma. In past trainings we have had attendees from system of care, social work, community and mental health, child welfare, judicial, education, healthcare, non profits, housing, law enforcement, early childhood, people with lived experience, management and support staff.

Trauma Informed Oregon is a statewide collaborative aimed at preventing and ameliorating the impact of adverse experiences on children, adults and families. Trauma Informed Oregon works in partnership with providers, individuals with lived experience, and families to promote and sustain trauma informed policies and practices across physical, mental, and behavioral health systems and to disseminate promising strategies to support wellness and resilience.
