Class Objective

This class examines the relationship between childhood adversity and the development of disease states later in life. The reviews the results of the Adverse Childhood Experiences study and provides guidelines for engagement with people who have suffered trauma. The class reviews research which examines the experiences of people with lived experiences and an organizational Trauma-Informed Care toolkit to highlight and teach strategies to reduce system-induced trauma.
