Description

Defending Childhood Shelby has been instrumental in seeding and supporting child serving systems to become more informed about childhood exposure to violence, ACEs, trauma, and beyond to being trauma responsive. You will hear presentations that feature some of the best practices in assessment, treatment, support, collaboration, and sustainability across systems. Finally, we will discuss moving forward under the leadership of the Center for Health in Justice Involved Youth and the charge in continuing the work and collaboration across systems to sustain environments of resiliency and hope. Mark Soler, Executive Director, of Center for Children's Law and Policy as well as Dr. Altha Stewart, Director, UT Center for Health In Justice Involved Youth will be two of our guest speakers along with many local stakeholders. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Parking will be available on the following lots: F, J, and I.
