Trauma Informed Care Class - March 31st & April 1st, 9am - 5pm
Fri, Mar 31, 2017, 9:00 AM – Sat, Apr 1, 2017, 5:00 PM CDT
Do you consider yourself or desire to be a human trafficking advocate, counselor or mentor?
Do you have or want to have frequent interaction with those who have or are being sexually exploited?
No Boundaries International is seeking trauma informed team members as we serve those who have been devastated through trauma. Join them on their journey of healing while avoiding re-traumatization.
No Boundaries International's "Trauma Informed Care Class" will guide you through this process. This two-day class is a continuation of "Intervention Strategies of Human Trafficking"--focusing on how to provide trauma-informed care to victims and survivors of sexual exploitation and human trafficking from a faith-based perspective. This class will assist the participant to understand the neurological, biological, psychological and social effects of trauma in general and with an emphasis on sexual exploitation and trauma. Case studies will be geared toward the physical and/or sexual abuse and trauma that trafficked and sexually exploited individuals experience.
