Event description

Description

The TF-CBT two-day basic training will briefly address the theoretical and evidence base of this treatment before going into greater depth with each of the PRACTICE components including their rationale, techniques and activities for implementation, as well as more “hands on” practice of these through role-play and/or group activities. Trauma types and symptoms, assessment including at least one standardized tool, as well as cultural and family engagement considerations will be discussed. Training participants will learn how to apply TF-CBT and its components as designed as well as how to adapt these to varying types of trauma, clinical presentations, and individualized youth or family needs.
