Trauma And The Young Child

Across the nation, 36% of children entering foster care are ages birth-five. There is extensive documentation on the impact of traumatic experiences and exposure on children birth through five. In this training participants will learn the definition of trauma, understand the impact of trauma on the developing child, understand the correlation between primary caregivers trauma history and the developing child, identify symptoms associated with trauma responses and some treatment interventions to address childhood trauma.
