Description

The 2017-18 JWWFH Continuing Care Series is a five-part series of FREE sessions open to the public. Each session will address a different aspect of grief, how it affects our mental wellness, and what steps to consider if/when it does.

Each session will include a formal portion conducted by a licensed professional(s). Light refreshments will be served.

Part IV: Grief = Trauma and Loss: Thriving in Spite of Overexposure and Lack of Privacy

Thursday, May 3, 2017 at 6 pm

Losing a loved one is hard enough. Losing a loved one to violence or in any way that ends up highly publicized only makes the loss harder to handle. Between the media, the community, and any related coverage or investigation, survivors often find themselves hard pressed for time and energy to focus on themselves and what the loss means for them personally.

Join us for session four of our five-part Continuing Care Series on Thursday, May 3, as we hear from a panel of survivors and licensed professionals on the challenges associated with the aftermath of these types of losses and ways to lighten your load, set boundaries, and protect your privacy and honor the legacy of your deceased loved one.

Light refreshments will be served. Space is limited, so reserve your spot now!
