Description

As part of a cooperative effort to improve planning, preparedness, and response capabilities for an incident involving the transportation of crude oil and other flammable liquids by rail, two one-day Transportation Rail Incident Preparedness and Response (TRIPR) training classes will be held in Oak Forest, IL. The sessions will provide participants with guidance and resources to better prepare first responders for High-Hazard Flammable Train (HHFT) incidents

The goal is to expand awareness of risk-based response concepts and share lessons learned from previous HHFT incidents by leveraging the expertise of public safety agencies, rail carriers, and industry subject matter experts.

First responders and others providing pre-incident planning, training, response, or recovery functions for incidents involving rail transportation of flammable liquids.
