Description

Ship your stuff from the DC area to Love Burn and back! Selling space in three types: standard black & yellow bins, single cubic feet, and blocks of five (5) cubic feet. (The blocks or five are because the fees on very-low priced items are very high; we're trying to save you money.) We don't know what demand for the various types will be like, so we'll adjust the quantities available as we go along.

Note: The info below is subject to change and expansion. Stay tuned...

Rules:

  1. The "standard" bin is the 27 gallon black and yellow bin that most burners are familiar with and own. Examples:here, here, and here. (Dimensions ~26.5" x ~17.5" x ~12.5")
  2. Measuring cubic feet: multiply length inches, width inches, height inches, and dvide by 1,728. Round UP to nearest whole cubic foot.
  3. We prefer that each item be measured (and rounded UP) separately, but you can combine all of your cubic foot measurements when purchasing tickets. (E.g. three items: 2, 4, and 7 cu ft each = 13 cu ft. So, buy two 5-CuFt tickets, and three single Cu Ft tickets.)
  4. If your item cannot be stacked on top of anything else AND no object can be stacked on top of it, you must calculate the cubic feet using the objectss actual height or 6 feet (72'), whichever is GREATER.
  5. If your item CAN be stacked on other objects, but cannot have other objects stacked on top of it, you must multiply the actual height by 1.5, unless the object is at least 4' (48") tall.
  6. ALL objects MUST be in a sturdy container or securely wrapped together in some fashion. Boxes & crates are HIGHLY encouraged. Trash bags full of items will NOT be accepted. Random loose bits tied together with chewing gum and masking tape will NOT be accepted.
  7. For any very large, or very strange items, please contact Doug T. directly before purchasing tickets
  8. NO FLAMMABLES OR EXPLOSIVES OF ANY KIND!!!
  9. NO DRUGS OR OTHER SUBSTANCES THAT ARE ILLEGAL IN MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, or FL!!!
  10. NO ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OF ANY KIND!!! (Sorry, it's against FL law, and you can buy it all when you get there, anyway...)
  11. All items must be clearly marked with your full name, contact phone number, and email address. (These will be verified at load-in.)
  12. NO REFUNDS. We don't have time or patience for that. There will likely be a resale market.

Load-in:

  1. Dates/times: SUNDAY ONLY, from 10AM to 6PM
  2. Given the current weather forecast, be sure to find a buddy with a 4WD vehicle. The roads may be really bad on Sunday

At Snow Burn:

  1. Trailer should arrive Wednesday, 1/26/2016 before noon. Art can be installed on Wed. Theme camps can be set up on Thursday. The rest of the rabble should arrive late Thursday or Friday.
  2. Post-event, the trailer must be loaded no later than noon on Monday, 2/1/2016

Post-burn Load-out

  1. Dates/Times: Saturday, 2/6/2016 ONLY, 10AM to 6PM.
  2. Get your stuff early, please!!!!!!!!!!

Any proceeds in execess of the cost of transport will be donated to a worthy burnerific cause. (Most likely as art grants of some kind.)
