Trans/Nonbinary Exercise Group
Overview
Exercise can be intimidating, but it can also be a great way to connect to yourself and to others. Trans/nonbinary folks are often left out of the conversation when it comes to exercise, wellness, and navigating a gym space. This is a class designed for us by us, led by Moore Than Fitness trainer, August.
Everyone deserves a space to explore fitness in a way that feels right to them. At Moore Than Fitness, our goal is to bring exercise into the lives of folks who have felt excluded from the conversation on fitness.
August knows very well what it's like to feel excluded or intimidated by gym spaces. He knows this both personally and from helping others build a new relationship with exercise. This class was born from the desire to share his love of exercise with as many people as possible.
This class is a community class for all folks within the trans/nonbinary community. We'll be meeting once a month on the last Saturday of every month to get together for an hour, meet new folks, and bond over exercise.
This class is good for all levels of fitness- whether you have lots of experience lifting weights or have never stepped into a gym space before. Classes will be designed around class size and interest of the participants. This class is for ages 18+. There is free parking on site.
We want to make this class as accessible as possible. That is why we have made this class "pay what you can". Select "donation" under tickets if you'd like to make a donation. Suggested donation is $15. If price is truly a barrier, we have additional tickets at no charge available. Please reach out to August directly if you have questions about availability of either type of ticket. Class is capped at 25 participants.
