Join us for a keynote talk by Transmedia Guru, Robert Pratten of Transmedia Storyteller

followed by a round table discussing the How's of creating a successful project.

Robert's experience uniquely places him at the intersection of entertainment, social media marketing and telecommunications.

He is an experience marketing consultant with more than 20 years experience and has been an internationally recognized expert in the field of Intelligent Networks having advised clients such as Ericsson and Lucent on international pricing, positioning and market entry strategies.

Robert left the board of a leading European consultancy in 1999 to attend the London Film School. He has since written, produced and directed two award-winning, critically acclaimed feature films - London Voodoo (2004) and Mindflesh (2008).

Robert has established himself as a thought-leader in the field of transmedia storytelling through major contributions to the evolving field in the areas of new business models, development processes and documentation. He is author of the book Getting Started in Transmedia Storytelling: A Practical Guide for Beginners.

Bios:

Brandon Grande:

Brandon Grande is the Executive Producer and co-founder of WESTERNIZED Productions.  At WESTERNIZED he specializes in new business development, while playing a key role in the management and production of all the editorial, visual effects, and motion graphic design.  With a practical background rooted in business administration he has experience in several operational levels, including both command and staff positions.

After ten years of excellence in the restaurant and hospitality industries, he turned his attention towards the world of production. Brandon brings a mature sensibility and a deepened respect for communicating each production's needs with the greatest attention paid to every detail.  Brandon has successfully produced multiple projects including music videos, broadcast commercials, corporate videos, and web content for clients including Macy's, Microsoft, Cisco, Symantec, nVIDIA, Shell, and Siemens to name a few.

Brandon is also the co-founder and organizer for SFMograph, a Bay Area user group for professionals working in moving media, www.sfmograph.com.  Outside of WESTERNIZED and the world of graphics Brandon donates his time as San Francisco's PGA event chair, organizing both educational and networking events!

Emmanuel Saccoccini:

Emmanuel has over 12 years of experience with creative concept, development & production management of awarded creative websites & interactive experiences for the advertising industry.  He joined the British digital creative production unit9 in 2011 to establish & manage the San Francisco office.  Earlier, he co-founded & managed the French interactive studio grouek for ten years.

The entertaining online experiences he helped create & produce since 2000, received awards such as: 5 Cannes Cyber Lions, Andy, 6 FWAs, D&AD, 2 Webby, 4 Eurobest, 3 Epica, 2 Asia Pacific AdFest, CSS Awwwards Site of the Year, SxSW Interactive Award, etc.

Ryan Tudhope:

Ryan is the Co-founder and visual effects supervisor of Atomic Fiction, an innovative, efficient and artistic group committed to bringing digital characters and effects to life for today’s biggest blockbuster films, cinematics and commercials.  He has supervised or produced visual effects on numerous films including Flight, Looper, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Superman Returns, Sin City, Hellboy and the Academy Award-winning Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest.

Ryan parlayed an interest in film and computer graphics into a job at Skywalker Ranch at the age of 18. Once there, worked directly with George Lucas to design key sequences for Star Wars: Episode One.  IN addition, he was Featured on numerous panels and publications and actively speaks to promote school-to-career programs, advice on entering the workforce and the use of technology in the classroom.  Ryan is also a Visual Effects Society Bay Area Board Member.

Jen Gilomen

Director of Independent Media at the Bay Area Video Coalition (BAVC), where she leads BAVC’s programs for documentary storytellers and trans-media artists. These programs include a year-round fellowship program called MediaMaker, the Producers Institute for New Media Technologies, and SF Commons, San Francisco’s innovative public access television station and associated community media programs. Jen is also an award-winning independent transmedia documentary producer and cinematographer who has created nationally and internationally distributed films, including Deep Down and the associated Virtual Mine game in Second Life, which were funded by ITVS and MacArthur Foundation and nominated for an Emmy in 2011. http://bavc.org
