Opportunities for Modern Wood Heating

Workshop Purpose:

This workshop will provide participants with meaningful information to allow for enhanced decision-making regarding the use of wood biofuels for heating purposes. Emphasis will be on residential, community, and small industrial applications. Topics will include:

  • Federal and Provincial climate change initiatives

  • Supply chain logistics and biofuel handling best practices

  • Provincial regulations and permitting processes

  • Types of equipment and biofuel supply options

  • Potential funding and programs

  • Success stories, applications, and lessons learned
