Transition to Industry 2018

Do you struggle with converting your CV into an industry-relevant resume? How do you ensure your LinkedIn profile is industry friendly? What is a behavioral interview and how can you best prepare for one?  These questions plague many postdocs as they attempt to transition to their first industry position.

To help postdocs put their best foot forward as they embark on this transition, the Torrey Pines Training Consortium (TPTC) has developed a Transition to Industry event held every other year.  TPTC is a group of postdoc career development administrators from the Salk Institute for Biological Studies, Sanford Burnham Prebys Medical Discovery Institute (SBP), The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) and UC San Diego.

The 2018 event unfolds over the course of 3 Tuesdays starting Feb. 20 and emphasizes the practical application of  tools, tips and techniques presented for non-academic careers in the private sector.
