About this Event

Transition Central - Monday Evenings

Brought to you by Youthline Auckland

About the Course

Transition is the next step in your Youthline training! Transition focuses on continuing personal and skill development in order to move forward to becoming a Solo Helpline Counsellor, connecting with young people in the Youthline ‘Hub’ where we take calls, texts and emails from young people and members of the community. Transition groups start out weekly and then become fortnightly after 7 sessions.

The Transition groups are a great opportunity to learn from each others' experiences, get support and encouragement, to revise skills and topics and to cover new areas of learning such as child protection issues. You will also learn how to use a supervision context and how you can learn more about yourself through processing your experiences and discoveries from your work.
