About this event

Science & Tech • High Tech

Join us for an in-person event exploring how Generative AI is transforming customer service, from boosting operational efficiency to delivering hyper-personalised customer experiences and enhancing risk management.

In partnership with DKB (Digital Products & Technology), pioneers in AI-driven banking, this event offers expert insights, real-world applications, and live demonstrations.

Torsten Nahm: DKB’s GenAI support agent – from hack day to cutting-edge product

In April 2024, DKB was the first bank in Germany to launch a GenAI-powered support agent. What started as a simple prototype created during one of the team’s hack days quickly became a central cornerstone of DKB’s customer service strategy, with a launch time of less than six months from project start.

Since then, DKB has continuously expanded the agent’s capabilities, adding personalisation, hand-over to human support and built-in support for actions. We continue to innovate quickly to stay at the cutting-edge of technology – for example, we have replaced the core LLM five times since the launch, and introduced new frameworks like litellm, langfuse and deepeval.

Torsten will share the team’s approach to developing with GenAI, the challenges we faced, and insights gained from serving a chatbot to ca. 6 million customers.

Wiebke Apitzsch: How to Follow the Example: From Best Practice at DKB to Your Own PoC in Less Than One Hour

Best-in-class AI solutions can look impressive. Often, they even feel far out of reach.

Custom functionalities, integrations, and optimisation often seem like an endless journey. In fact, they are. But the very first steps are much more accessible than many expect. And even small steps will show value.

In this session, Wiebke Apitzsch will guide you through building your own voice agent in under an hour. Along the way, she will highlight essential ethical considerations, the role of change management, and a structured step-by-step approach to setting up your first AI answering machine.

Designed as a hands-on complement to the preceding talk, this session shows how to move from inspiration to action quickly . It makes GenAI tangible for your own context.
