Experience the benefits of yoga, alternative medicine, and facia release. Spend the day healing the mind-body-soul.

About this Event

Dr. Marc Condren (Family Medicine Doctor) & Maria Alfieris (Physical Therapist, Myofascial Healer) are joining together with Emily Pareti Yoga (RYT200) and Jenna Zatz Moves (RYT200) for a day of Health & Wellness at Albert Avenue Park in Milltown, NJ.

This workshop will demonstrate the enriching benefits of yoga and alternative medicine. You will spend the day in intimate small wellness groups practicing yoga, experiencing the healing powers of fascia release, and learning how to incorporate alternative medicine into your daily life.

The style of yoga will be accessible to all levels of practitioners, including first time yogis and yogi veterans. Modifications, adjustments, and options will be offered in each class to allow each individual to make the mind-body connection through meditative movement. Emily will guide you through restorative postures using foam rollers to heal the connective tissue and interfacial connections. Jenna will guide you through a meditative flow linking breath to movement healing and enhancing the mind/body connection. Both Jenna and Emily will offer suggestions that can help you start and/or expand your home practice.

After each healing session, there will be a 15 minute break to transition, use the restroom, have a bite to eat and transition into the next wellness center.

Marc Condren- a certified MD - has been practicing functional integrative medicine for 30 years. An expert in the field of health and medicine, Dr. Condren’s focus is on developing individualized healthy diet and lifestyle programs to treat the root causes of disease. Maria Alfieris - a certified Physical Therapist - has an expertise in Myofascial Mobilization Healing. The relationship and connection between one’s emotional well-being and their parasympathetic nervous system can be traced back centuries. Maria has built a practice dedicated to healing and to the education of others on how to align their “emotional-self” and their “physical-self” to promote healing from within. Emily Pareti and Jenna Zatz met while on their journeys to become yoga teachers. Sharing passion for movement, healing, and spreading the love of yoga they instantly partnered to enrich the lives of others in the community. Both Emily and Jenna have received direct benefits from Dr. Marc Condren and PT Maria Alfieris and are eager to share their positive experiences with you!

Jenna Zatz - 200 RYT - has been practicing yoga for 3 years. Double majoring in Dance and Psychology from Rutgers University, Jenna is able to highlight a deep understanding of how body movement and awareness is beneficial to the brain. While dancing every day brought joy, at the age of 17 Jenna began to experience severe stomach problems, fatigue, and brain fog that seemed incurable. After 2 years of battling such symptoms and unsuccessful bouts with Western medicine, she found her way to Dr. Marc Condren. Through alternative healing, Jenna’s symptoms dissipated. Fast forward 5 years later, the symptoms returned and were worse. Again, Jenna found her way back to Dr. Condren. He took the time to fully understand what was ailing Jenna, and recommended some drastic lifestyle changes. Through the use of diet modifications, detoxification, and additional holistic healing methods like daily yoga and breathwork, Jenna has been feeling exponentially better and cannot wait to share her success story and passion for holistic healing and yoga with others!

Emily (Amador) Pareti - 200 RYT- fell in love with the practice of yoga after graduating from Rutgers University in 2014. What began as a fun hobby with fitness benefits became a dedicated passion. Emily was a competitive dancer, gymnast, cheerleader, and member of the Rutgers University Dance Team. While starting yoga as a workout alternative, Emily noticed that it was doing amazing things for her mind and spirit during challenging circumstances. Emily is a two-time cancer survivor of Hodgkin’s Lymphoma. Emily’s stress was at an all-time high during her cancer treatments and found the healing benefits of yoga to help ease her anxiety and bring her into a peaceful state of calmness that enabled her to face the challenges in front of her. Emily truly believes that yoga therapy is the future of integrative medicine. Her feelings were confirmed after meeting Maria Alfieris. Maria has been using fascial release techniques on Emily to enhance her immune system function and to decrease post-treatment scar tissue in her neck and chest. Together, they integrate fascia release, yoga, and self foam rolling to activate the body’s inner physician to heal from the inside out.
