The book is available to order from the publisher, from all major book retailers, and from your local independent bookshop. We will also have copies available to purchase at the event.


Dr Matson Lawrence is a gender, sexualities and education researcher based at the School of Education, University of Strathclyde. He has worked extensively with intersectional LGBTQI+ communities in the third and arts sectors. He is based in Glasgow, UK.

Dr Stephanie Mckendry is Widening Access Manager at the University of Strathclyde. She is a member of the Editorial Board of the Journal of Widening Participation and Lifelong Learning. She is based in Glasgow, UK.

Access Information:

  • Wheelchair accessible and level-access, ground floor venue. Ramp access via main entrance, with slight incline.

  • 8 minute walk / wheel from Glasgow Queen Street Station. Exit at Dundas Street, walk / wheel down the alleyway onto Buchanan Street. Go up Buchanan Street until you reach Cathedral Bridge, turn right and go under the bridge, and then walk / wheel straight up Cathedral Street. This is a slight hill with an upward incline.

  • Public on-street parking (metred) is available on Collins Street.

  • Accessible gender-neutral toilet facilities available.

  • Gender-specific toilet facilities available.

  • BSL Interpretation (Interpreter: Yvonne Waddell)

  • Movable seating and tables in the venue.

  • Hearing / Induction Loop fitted in the venue.

  • Light levels in the venue are not adjustable.

  • Support / Guide Dogs welcome.

  • There is no formal childcare facility - though you are welcome to bring your child/ren with you, at your own discretion.
