Join us for a set of beginner friendly workshops and one day hack focusing on transgender issues. We'll start the day at 8:00 with a short workshop introducing the Python programming language and Git for those new to programming. If you're an old hand at coding, grab some coffee and get comfortable. Once the short workshops wrap up we'll be creating projects focusing on issues that impact the transgender community.
Our Code of Conduct will be in place during this event. We're aiming to have a fun but challenging day in a safe and supportive environment and expect attendees and volunteers seeking the same.
While this hack is focused on getting members of the transgender community working with technology, this event is open to all skill levels and allies.
We're offering a social and install party the evening of Friday the 27th. This will be held at the Salesforce office (Heron Tower, 110 Bishopsgate, London, EC2N 4AY) and will have refreshments and good company available from 6:30 to 8:30. If you're new to programming, bring your laptop along so we can help you get set up. For secuirty purposes we'll need to share the first and last name listed on your ticket with the venue, so please use a name you're comfortable with us sharing.
