About this event

The Trans Advocacy Committee invites communities to participate in our new Trans 101 Workshop. This experience explores questions you may have concerning the inclusion of our trans family and community members. Many of us, in our own homes and faith spaces, have wondered about some of these issues: How many genders are there? Is gender fixed or fluid? What does it mean when your gender identity doesn’t match the sex listed on your birth certificate? What is gender identity? Is trans identity at odds with our faith?

The workshop is an hour and a half long via Zoom and will cover basic terminology on trans identity with time for a conversational question and answer session. The Trans Advocacy Committee is happy to bring educational opportunities to help faith communities not only understand but also come to celebrate our trans siblings.
