The Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP) invites those interested in learning more about sponsoring refugees as a Group of Five or Community Sponsor to attend a training session in Edmonton, Alberta.
This workshop is for new sponsorship groups and interested community members who would like to form a Group of Five or submit an application as a Community Sponsor. Join us and learn about:

• Requirements for Group of Five and Community Sponsor group members;
• Eligibility criteria for sponsored applicants; and
• The sponsorship process for Group of Five and Community Sponsor applications.

Detailed information will be provided on how to complete Group of Five and Community Sponsor application forms, as well as some of the most common reasons for applications being returned.

FAQs

What are my parking options at the event?

Public parking is available in the large parking lot behind the Edmonton Intercultural Centre (McCauley School). There is a smaller parking lot closer to the back of the school which has a few visitor and unmarked spots. Please do not park anywhere that is marked as reserved.

Street parking is also available in front of the building.

How do I access the event once I arrive?

Building access is through the Girl's Entrance at the front, or the doors west of that, or the doors at the back of the parking lot. There are buzzers at all those entrances and someone will buzz you in. Once inside, please head west to access the room.
