Description

Description: This special four hour training is focused on guiding staff from Health Care Services Agencies (HCSA, BHCS, Public Health, Environmental Health), as well as other county partners and contracted providers on becoming a trauma sensitive workforce. The training focuses on the six key principles of a trauma informed systems approach including: Understanding Trauma & Stress; Safety & Stability; Compassion & Dependability; Cultural Humility & Responsiveness; Collaboration & Empowerment; and Resilience & Recovery. Light refreshments will be provided.

Learning Objectives:
1. To begin to create a workforce that is trauma sensitive

2. To develop a shared understanding and language about stress and trauma

3. To provide guiding principles and practical tools to support the health and behavioral health workforce and the clients we serve.

CE Credits: This course meets the qualifications for 4 hours of continuing education credit for MFTs, LPCCs and/or LCSWs as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, Provider Approval Number PCE 307, the California Board of Registered Nurses, BRN Provider Number 12040, and the California Foundation for Advancement of Addiction Professionals (CFAAP), Provider Number 4C-04-604-0616. Please note: In order to receive CE credit, you must be able to attend the full training when it begins, and stay until it is over. No partial credit can be given. Please have your license number with you when you sign in at the event. CE CREDIT WILL NOT BE PROVIDED PAST 10 MINUTES OF THE START OF THE SESSION
