Training Officer Update

VCJTC certified Field Training Officers (FTOs) are required to take a FTO Update course every two years to maintain their certification.

During the 2017/2018 training cycle, the attending FTOs will receive an update on what is happening at the Basic Training Level with the 104th and 105th Basic Training Classes. Information on what has changed at the Basic Training Level for both Level II and III. Amy Messier from VCIC will present best practices on NIBRS reporting to FTO’s who in turn will be teaching Vermont’s newest officers how to correctly and accurately enter data, and explain the importance of the information collected.
