Event description

Description

Lincoln Park Zoo will be hosting a four day pre-conference workshop with the IUCN RSG. This training workshop will provide 35 reintroduction biologists (practitioners, managers, researchers and other specialists) with focused training by international leaders in conservation translocation practices. This type of training is highly sought after, and is aimed to support those designing and managing the complexities surrounding conservation translocations in terms of multi-stakeholder interests, biological uncertainties, and risk.

The small participant group size along with at least seven lecturers and participant led case studies allows for a highly interactive and relevant training experience. We aim to provide participants with the knowledge to plan, courage to act, certainty to secure resources, skill to respond to challenges, and the achievement of successful conservation outcomes.
