Event description

Description

Performance, optimization and longevity.

The "Train Smarter, Not Harder" workshop blends these aspect of training into a 1-day workshop catered towards the CrossFit coach and athlete.

The main focus of this workshop is to develop "smarter" and more efficient training strategies as opposed to just "training harder."

Matt and Ryan have been involved in the CrossFit landscape for several years and have developed a system focused around optimizing the CrossFit athlete in terms of performance enhancement as well as overall health and longevity.

In addition, CrossFit Games athlete and physical therapist Amanda Barnhart will be discussing performance and optimization tips for the CrossFit athlete.

Topic highlights from the 1-day workshop include:

-Hierarchy of needs for the fitness athlete

-Methods of self-assessment with breakouts and plan

-Performance tools used by the elite CrossFitters

-Programming methods

-Training variations for the injured athlete

-Lifting variations and assessment for both lower extremity and upper extremity

Josh Dubik, Owner/Coach of Strong Tower CrossFit, says..

"Matt and Ryan showcased their unprecedented approach for assessing the efficiency in movement patterns of our athletes. Using their assessment methodology, our coaches were provided with a new set of tools to assess and address limitations and flaws in the movement of our athletes. Without a doubt, I would highly recommend the Train Smarter; Not Harder workshop to anyone or any facility looking to safely improve the performance of their athletes and to understand your body's response to training.
