About this event

June 4- Sunday MORNING SESSION- All level

This is the fourth year that Corvallis Composite Mountain Bike volunteer coaches have been working with Brian Astell. We keep inviting him back from his home base in California to share his unique and systematic approach to building skills on the bike. Working with Brian gives confidence to beginner riders and pro-level riders alike- he's that good.

Who should take a TrailWorks clinic?

All student riders, coaches and family members our welcome but special emphasis is for coaches. There is a special discount for coaches because we envision them sharing this approach to skill building with all of our student riders throughout the season. Thank you to our generous sponsors that help us provide a coach discount rate.

First priority for the Coach Discount rate is for coaches who have not previously participated in a TrailWorks clinic. If any spots remain open after May 20, the discounted rate will be available for all coaches who wish to take the TrailWorks clinic a second or third time. (We've learned that coaches like to take this clinic multiple times- its that good!!)

Scholarship sand sliding scale rates are available. Please email corvallismtb@gmail.com.

Why take a TrailWorks clinic?

TrailWorks has a unique approach to teaching skills. We meet each rider at their skill level, and then cater the ride and training to each rider’s goals. We have a step by step, 100% repeatable and scalable process that every rider goes through. We start with the fundamentals, and then from there, your skill and speed of progression determines our next steps. Each step is broken down to its simplest form and layered upon the last to create a quick and efficient learning process.

My name is Brian Astell. I’m a professional mountain bike racer and off road triathlete. I compete professionally in many different disciplines including Xterra, cyclocross, endurance racing (100 mile mountain bike races), cross country, short track, enduro and even the occasional obstacle course.

I’m a huge believer in keeping whatever discipline you compete in fun. Having over 18 years of race experience, I’ve been fortunate enough to compete at the local, national and world level. Whether you’d to build fitness, hone your nutrition or you’d like to substantially increase your skills on the mountain bike, I have years of experience and knowledge to help you hone your passion.

Today TrailWorks has a partnership with the NorCal highschool league to bring TrailWorks’ progressive coaching style to both coaches and student athletes. I’m honored to have helped 100’s of riders increase their ability to become faster, safer, smoother and more confident riders.

Sharing the love of health, fitness, nutrition and the outdoors is what drives me everyday!
