Event description

Description

On September 20th, 2018, NDSU Graduate Student Chelsea Olmsted will be kicking off our year of lectures at the Comstock House and discussing her research on Clay County’s Agricultural History.

Using photos from HCSCC’s Flaten-Wange Glass Plate Collection, she will dive into the influence of railroads on our community's agriculture, early mechanical innovations on the farm, and the role of science in advancing the quality of Clay County agriculture in the early 20th century.

After the lecture guests are welcome to mingle and enjoy refreshments from Moorhead's Rustica Eatery & Tavern while exploring one of the area’s most historic homes.
