Trading Places II Closing Reception
Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM (EST)
North Miami, FL
Please join MOCA on Sunday, November 11th for the closing of Trading places II and celebrate an exciting and experimental program!
The emphasis of Trading Places II has been on the research and development of projects rather than specifically working towards an exhibition, although works have been exhibited and performed at the museum throughout the two month duration. The artists selected have reached critical moments in their careers when they could most benefit from the opportunity to work with MOCA's curatorial and technical staff. The program has provided them with studio space, materials, and opportunities to interact, respond to and investigate each others' practices and engage in periodic discussions with the public as well as various studio visits with MOCA's Executive Director and Chief Curator Bonnie Clearwater.
Visit us on Sunday, November 11th for an afternoon of performance, music by DJ D Clapp, and barbeque with Trading Places artists Dona Altemus, Onajide Shabaka, Magnus Sigurdarson, Rick Ulysse and Antonia Wright with a special performance titled Short demonstration of MELANCHOLY by Magnus Sigurdarson.
