You are a member of a Dutch funded fur trading group in the 1600's. You and your fellow trappers need to transport and protect your goods as you make your way between trading posts bartering your wares. You will need to cooperate with each other in order to survive against indigenous people/wildlife and the inhospitable Vermont wilderness.
Participants will rotate roles within the expedition. Roles such as 'Navigator', 'Pace Man' 'Scout' 'Apothecary' and 'Quartermaster' will be utilized to keep order within the expedition to stave off the chaos of the harsh landscape, limited resources, and hostile outsiders. You will learn to use a map and compass, read terrain features, navigate at night, and basic wilderness survival skills and expeditionary group discipline/etiquette.
Participants should bring enough provisions to last them through the event. Fire and shelter building materials, sturdy footwear, and appropriate layers are a must. Also bring items that would help you haul abnormally shaped equipment and supplies.
You may create a new team and invite others, or join an existing team. Minimum of 3 participants per team, maximum of 5.
Discounted early registration ends June 15th.
