A trademark can be a valuable business asset for a business of any size, or sometimes, the most valuable asset. Matthew's presentation will discuss what a trademark is, selection and clearance of a trademark, the benefits of federal registration and the application process with the United State Patent & Trademark Office.
About the Presenter
Matthew P. Hintz is an associate at Servilla Whitney LLC, an intellectual property firm in Iselin, New Jersey. Matthew’s practice focuses on the selection, clearance and registration of trademarks and other intellectual property assets for small businesses.
Matthew is active in the American Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Law section. Among his roles, he is the social media subcommittee chair for the Young Lawyer Action Group and co-chair of the state trademark legislation subcommittee of the Trademark Legislation Committee.
