THE STORY:

In December of 1974, the unsuspecting citizens of Darwin prepare for Christmas festivities. Morris dreams of adventure, Lisa chases elusive contentment, and Gregory wrestles with duty. All have their worlds upturned when Cyclone Tracy rears her head and devastates the city on Christmas Day. Inspired by true events, this is a dramatic piece commemorating the 50th Anniversary of Cyclone Tracy.

THE SCREENING:

The screening will be introduced by the writer / director; Kostadinos Hatzivalsamis. And, afterwards, Hatzivalsamis will be joined by 'Tracy' cast & crew for a Q&A session. Here, you'll get a chance to glean insights on how a rag-tag group in Darwin filmed over six weeks to capture a heartfelt tribute to a defining moment in Australian history – one that has become a vital thread in the fabric of the rich and unique Top End culture.
