Description
Andrés Manuel López Obrador is the only president in the world to hold daily morning press conferences. Throughout his first year in office, he has had a complicated, and at times adversarial, relationship with members of the media.
Please join us for a discussion with three journalists who have covered the first year of AMLO's presidency and who offer points of view from the U.S.-Mexico border, Mexico City and Washington, D.C.
Speakers:
- Mary Beth Sheridan, Correspondent, The Washington Post
- José Diaz-Briseño, Correspondent, Reforma
- Adela Navarro, Director, Zeta
Location: The event will take place at the Villages Building 2, Rooms B & C (map). Closest parking will be at the Pangea Parking Structure (Pangea Drive at N. Torrey Pines Rd.) A parking permit is required and can be purchased at the pay stations.
