Author Barbara Appleton talk about her new book Tracking Mr Sharpe which explores Bathurst to Hawkesbury in a changing colony.

About this Event

This recently published a biography of Rev. Thomas Sharpe, explores the colonial chaplain whose life stretched from the time of assignment of convict servants to the relative prosperity after the Gold Rush. While studying Sharpe’s life and times, Barbara researched a range of colonial dairies to discover the histories of men and women of the time and learn about their personal lives and experiences. Join Barbara to hear about the diaries of the Rev. Thomas Sharpe and what was life like in the colonies in the 1830s .
