Event description

Description

‘Australia has an inspiring and, at times, bleak past that is always fascinating.’

– Eden Cox, founding editor of Traces

The premiere issue of Traces magazine will be released across Australia this December. To celebrate the first of many editions, and to get your hands on this very special first edition, we ask you to join us for a chat (history-related or otherwise) and a tipple at the Norla Dome in Docklands.

We’re looking forward to bringing together a diverse range of readers with a common interest in the many stories, cultures and people that have made Australia the nation that it is today.

With the help of leading academics, researchers, heritage professionals, and our editorial team at Traces, each quarter we will take our readers back through the annals of Indigenous and colonial histories, along with musings on genealogy and archaelogy, iconic figures from our country’s past, and much more.

Guest speakers TBA. Drinks and nibbles will be provided!

The Norla Dome is wheelchair accessible and can be easily accessed by public transport.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners of the land on which this event will take place. We pay our respects to their Elders, past and present, and the Elders from other communities who may be in attendance.
