Description
Toxic chemicals are everywhere: in our food, cosmetics, environment--and in our bodies. In the past few decades, the chemicals in our immediate environment have had a direct impact on the increase in the rate of allergies, asthma, and cancers.
Experts working at the intersection of toxics, public health, and policy will share their wealth of knowledge on how we can protect ourselves from these harmful chemicals, as well as how to push for policies that get these dangerous substances out of our lives.

GUEST SPEAKERS

Sarada has a deep background in environmental justice and corporate accountability campaigning. Previously she led market-based change efforts at the Campaign for Safe Cosmetics. Her experience also includes coordinating Project Underground’s Chevron Nigeria campaign and conducting strategic corporate research for environmental justice campaigns at the Data Center. Sarada holds an MPP from Oregon State University and a BA in Sociology from UC Davis.
Susan helped produce the award-winning documentary about chemical body burden UNACCEPTABLE LEVELS, and has made a career out of connecting people so they can combine their talents and expertise for the greater good. Susan is in charge of building community relationships, assist with social media and oversee partnerships at Made Safe, a certification standard for low toxicity products.

What's the cancellation policy?
WEN runs a lean nonprofit and unfortunately cannot accept refund requests. In the event that WEN has to cancel a program you will receive a full refund. Thank you for supporting WEN.
Does WEN take photographs at their events?
WEN occasionally uses photography at events for WEN's website, newsletter and social media. Please inform a WEN board member if you have any concerns.
